Privacy policy

Version of October 2026

1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR is Ektennsa GmbH, Blumenthalstr. 36, 13156 Berlin, represented by Juan E. Scheihing. Contact details can be found in the legal notice.

2. Purposes and legal bases of processing

We process your data to handle your enquiries and orders (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to safeguard legitimate interests such as operational security and protection against spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and on the basis of your consent in the case of optional cookies and tracking tools (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The specific purposes of each processing operation are stated in the corresponding section below.

3. Recipients of personal data

We only pass on your data where this is necessary for the performance of the contract or where another legal basis exists. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA); when you visit it, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as your IP address and the time of access. From the IP address, Vercel also determines the country so that the site can preselect your country and currency; nothing is stored on your device. Enquiries from our forms are received by a function at Vercel, which checks the IP address and the submission to protect against spam and forwards them to us by email via our mailbox at GoDaddy (USA). The transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Other recipients: where applicable AQUATO Umwelttechnologien GmbH in the event of a warranty claim, and, where they are involved in your project, local partners and distributors in South America for the execution of the order. We keep an internal list of the specific processors and make it available on request.

4. Retention period

Personal data from form enquiries are deleted as soon as the reason for processing no longer applies and no commercial or tax retention periods (generally six or ten years) prevent deletion. Server logs are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless there is a security incident.

5. Cookies and tracking

On this website we currently do not use any statistics or marketing tools or any cookies that require consent, which is why there is no cookie banner. If we use such tools in future, we will ask for your consent beforehand, and you can withdraw it at any time. You can find details of what is stored on the cookies page.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in Berlin for example with the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

7. Chile (Law No. 19,628 and Law No. 21,719)

For our Chilean customers, Chilean data protection law also applies (Law No. 19,628 and, from its entry into force, Law No. 21,719). The standards described in this policy are based on the European level of the GDPR and therefore go beyond the minimum Chilean requirements.

8. Validity and changes

This privacy policy is the version of October 2026. We reserve the right to adapt it in response to legal or functional developments, for example when new tools are added or the legal bases change. You can always find the current version here, on this page.
